3D Machine Control Construction Sales Position

With a 50+ person staff and 6 locations across the Southeast, Earl Dudley, LLC represents the Topcon and Sokkia surveying system solutions.  Earl Dudley also provides 3D Machine Control and Construction Layout Systems to a wide variety of contractors across the southeast.  We have an immediate construction sales position open in our Nashville location for a focused territory in central Tennessee.  

General Job Description/Overview:

  • 2D and 3D Machine Control business development and management within the State of Tennessee.
  • Manage new and existing accounts for road builders, site work contractors, general and specialty contractors. 
  • Field demonstrate, train and support the instrument hardware and software products.
  • Meet Sales goals and objectives.
  • Minimal out of town travel will be required.
  • Prospect for new accounts as well as provide technical support for existing accounts. 

Base Salary and commissions tied to performance and experience. Includes vehicle allowance, laptop, cell phone, 401K, health insurance, profit sharing plan, paid vacation and holidays.

In house product and sales training will be provided.

Skill Requirements to Apply:

  • Prior Field Layout Construction, Land Surveying, civil engineering or mapping experience.
  • Road building, Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, or Site Layout experience.
  • Field Layout Construction, Land Surveying, civil engineering or mapping experience.
  • Strong technical aptitude with problem-solving skills.
  • High energy level with the ability to travel as needed.
  • Strong computer software skills.
  • Confident and proficient communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to develop client relationships.
  • Positive attitude and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and enjoy working in the field.

 Most desirable Candidate would exhibit some of the following:

  • Heavy machinery automation operation or management
    prior technical sales experience
  • Civil Engineering, Building Science, Land Surveying or Construction Degree
    Proficient in CAD or Estimating Software
    Proficient with GPS Hardware & Total Stations & Data Collection.
